Study Information

- The SSI Open Water Diver course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and training necessary to dive autonomously with dive partners of equal or greater qualification in environments equivalent to their training and at depths shallower than 18 meters.
- Complete all knowledge development sections and assessments outlined in the Open Water Diver Instructor's Manual.
- Completion of the Open Water Diver final exam with a passing score of 80%.

- Complete a waterborne assessment as outlined in the SSI Training Standards. A waterborne assessment must be completed prior to participating in any open water training dive.
- Complete a minimum of four (4) open water scuba training dives.
Digital Online Learning
Open Water Diver
3 days and 2 nights (small class size)
- Small class sizes, no more than four students per class.
- It is recommended to arrive at the Dive Center the night before.
- Register early for the time of your choice.
- Special price NT$13,000 per person. (Non-individual class, at least two or more people to start the class, if there is no other students together at the time of registration, then the class will start with a dedicated instructor 1 VS 1.)
- You can also choose the accommodation plan (2 berths and 3 meals), stay and enjoy a standard double bed at a special price of only NT$2,500. If you need to check in early the night before, you will be charged NT$800 per person.
4 days and 3 nights (small class size)

Fee description
- The OW certification course fee includes the use of a full set of diving equipment, gas cylinder fees, visa fees, travel accident insurance and training and teaching fees.
- The fee does not include food, lodging and transportation to the center during the training period.
- Matching Accommodation Plan to stay in Atoll Dive BnB with Diver Privilege (single occupancy with standard double bed can be arranged)。
- The dive center is located in Hengchun Old Town, where you can enjoy Hengchun's local cuisine for breakfast and dinner.
- Please pay the remaining balance of the course fee when you sign up, and inform Reef in advance if you have special needs. Small class teaching, high efficiency, except for special needs or weather and sea conditions, calm water courses and marine internships are implemented in the sea area of Houbi Lake in Kenting (technical examination).
Note
- Changes to the scheduled class date must be informed 7 days in advance. If there is a change within 7 days or an unexcused absence from class, excluding force majeure (natural disasters/accidents), an additional NTD$3,000 will be borne. If you miss class due to physical discomfort, you need to present the hospital registration receipt to be exempted from the additional burden.
- If a student abandons the course on his own initiative, or is unfit to continue diving due to physical discomfort and is certified by a doctor, the course fee refund method is as follows:
NTD$5,000 non-refundable deposit for online course materials; NTD$6,000 refundable if you have taken a course; NTD$4,000 refundable if you have taken a calm water/pool internship course; NTD$2,000 refundable if you have taken an open water internship course. - If a physical license is required, a fee of NTD$500 per card will be charged for the printing of the physical license card, which will be obtained by the Training Center within two weeks and notified to the trainee for collection.
- After enrollment, the student's registration will be kept for six months. If there is a problem with the student, he/she will have to take additional classes. Please complete the course within six months. If you have not completed the course after the six-month period, please re-enroll and pay the course fee. If you do not complete the course, you will be required to pay a supplemental fee of NT$1,000/day/set of equipment and NT$800/cylinder and training fee per person.
- Diving courses are by appointment only. The class time and time slot scheduled by the student will depend on the class. If there are other students taking classes during that period, they will be processed according to the class they registered for.
If there is only one student, it will be handled as a 1VS1 course with a dedicated coach.
