Scuba DIVER

Course Information

  • This course is designed for those who do not have the time to complete the Open Water Diver course and provides you with the training and experience needed to dive in an open water environment under the supervision of a dive professional. You will receive the SSI Scuba Diver certificate, and with additional training, you can upgrade to the SSI Open Water Diver certificate.
  • This is a limited diving license course, after completing the training, you can dive all over the world with the license. Due to less diving experience and knowledge, diving activities should be led and supervised by qualified diving professionals, diving activities are limited to a depth of 12 meters, but can be upgraded to SSI Open Water Diver after additional training. OPEN WATER DIVER。
  • If you are over ten years old and in good health, please refer to SSI's Health Statement and Liability Release and Risk Assumption Agreement, if you have any physical condition, you must obtain a doctor's approval and issue a certificate before taking diving courses.
  • Before the official start of class, you can complete home study through SSI online learning digital teaching materials. For diving courses, you must bring your own swimming trunks or swimsuits, and prepare digital photos of yourself (life photos can also have front-facing photos, which are provided for upload).

Scuba Diver Course Description

  • Completion of Section 1-3 units and Open Water Diver Training 1~2 units, 10~16 hours.
  • Completed the Diver Final Exam with a passing score of 80%.
  • Complete a waterborne assessment as outlined in the SSI Training Standards. This evaluation must be completed prior to participating in any open water training dive.
  • Complete a minimum of two (2) open water training dives using scuba gear.

Holiday Classes

  • It is recommended to arrive at the Dive Center the night before.
  • Every Saturday morning 0830~Sunday 12:00.
  • Special price NT$9,500. (Non-individual class)
  • You can also choose the accommodation plan (1 berth, 2 meals) and stay with a standard double bed for only NT$1,500. If you need to check in early the night before, you will be charged NT$1,000 per person.
  • If there is only one person in the class, individual class 1vs1, special price NT$11,000/$.

Optional Time Classes

  • Classes start every day, invite friends to learn scuba diver courses and enjoy discounts
  • Special price NT$10,500. (Non-individual class)
  • If there is only one person in the class, individual class 1vs1, special price NT$11,000/$.

Scuba Diver Course Fees

  • The course fee includes the use of a full set of diving equipment, cylinder fees, visa fees, activity insurance and training and teaching fees.
  • The fee does not include food, lodging and transportation to the center during the training period.
  • Matching Accommodation Plan to enjoy Diver Privilege at Atoll Dive BnB (single occupancy with standard double bed)。
  • The dive center is located in Hengchun Old Town, where you can enjoy Hengchun's local cuisine.
  • Please complete the enrollment and pay the course fee one week before the date you want to take the course, and please inform the atoll in advance if you have special needs.We adopt a small class system, which is efficient, and except for special needs or weather and sea conditions, the calm water courses and marine internships are implemented in the sea area of Houbi Lake in Kenting (for the technical examination).

First Day

08:30 Academic Program - Risk Management Awareness; Underwater World and Body Changes, Introduction to Diving Equipment.
10:30 Academic Program - Effects of Breathing Gases on the Body
12:00 Lunch Time
13:30 Calm waters - snorkeling instruction, equipment assembly and operation, safety check before launching, mask draining, ear pressure balancing, regulator draining, secondary head retrieval....Underwater skills
15:30 Open Water - First Open Water Dive and Underwater Skills Assessment

Second Day

08:30 Open Water - Second open water dive and underwater skills assessment.
11:00 Diver final test.
12:00 Lunch will be enjoyed, certificates will be awarded, and the course will end.
If you have enough physical time, we can host you for a 3rd dive in open water.
