Continue your adventure with the SSI Advanced Training Program and gain the skills and experience you need to dive in the world's best dive sites. No matter what your passion is, we have an SSI major to fit your needs as you can choose from more than 20 specialties. When you complete a certain number of feats, you will also automatically earn the SSI Expert Diver, SSI Advanced Open Water Diver, and SSI Master Diver ratings. Nitrox diver, you can increase your underwater time and safety and shorten your surface rest intervals. This way you can increase repeat dives and reduce waiting time. You will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge while learning how to safely plan and dive with nitrox gas mixtures with oxygen concentrations up to 40%. Upon completion of this course, you will receive SSI Nitrox EAN32 or EAN40 certification.

SSI Diver Stress and Rescue course teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You'll learn how to recognize stress, how to prevent accidents, and learn practical techniques for performing rescues and providing emergency care. Through a combination of pool and open water practice courses, you'll be well-prepared and confident in handling emergency and rescue situations. Upon completion, you will receive the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.

Certification Prerequisites: Open Water Diver Certification, Valid First Aid Certificate (not more than 2 years old)

This course provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to safely lead certified divers and is the first step toward an exciting career as an SSI Dive Professional.
After obtaining the Dive Guide qualification, you will be able to lead divers to enjoy the wonderful underwater world, and also to work for accommodation in dive centers all over the world. Completing the Dive Guide course can increase your income significantly.

Prerequisite for Certification: At least 40 dives (25 hours of total dive time)

After obtaining the Divemaster qualification, you will be able to perform Scuba Experiences (swimming pool only) and perform Night Dive Instructor duties and assist Instructors in Pool, Confined Water, and Open Water dives under the direct supervision of an Instructor. You may be promoted to Assistant Instructor Professional after obtaining a Dive Science Specialty. You can assist SSI Dive Instructors and learn from the teaching experience of other professionals.
Minimum age: 18 years old
Prerequisites for Certification: At least 60 logged dives with a total of 40 hours or more of dive time.

The Assistant Instructor rating is the next step after becoming a diving instructor. It allows you to gather valuable teaching experience, practice briefings, teach academics, and conduct in-water training. If you want to further your career as a diving professional, you can complete an instructor training course, pass an instructor assessment, and become an open water diving instructor.

Open Water Diving: 7 sessions
Maximum Depth: 40M/130 ft
Course Time: 35~42 hours
Certification Prerequisite: Divemaster Certification, minimum 60 logged dives (40 hours total)

Get started today – you need to be a Divemaster or equivalent to join SSI’s three-step instructor training method. The training process starts with joining the assistant coach/coach training course package as well as digital learning. Upon successful completion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will sit for the Instructor Evaluation (IE) to gain SSI Open Water Instructor qualification.
